Description
Flying pigeon arm balance. Flying crane or galavasana. An arm balance where one leg is bent and hooked over the opposite upper arm while the body leans forward, supported by the hands on the ground. Used as a peak or advanced arm balance in sequences to develop strength and balance. Belongs to the arm balance family with left and right side variations; often preceded by preparatory hip openers and core work. Named for the sage Galava in Sanskrit tradition.
