Description
Shoulder stand An inverted pose where the body is supported on the shoulders with the legs extended vertically overhead. It is typically used as a peak or restorative pose near the end of a practice, often following standing and seated sequences. Classified within the inversion family, it requires preparatory poses that open the shoulders and strengthen the core. Known as salamba sarvangasana in Sanskrit, it is regarded as a foundational inversion in many yoga traditions.
