Description

Firefly, arm balance. An arm balance with the legs extended forward and lifted off the ground while the hands support the body. Typically included in advanced practice as a peak pose or arm balance challenge. Part of the arm balance family, it requires significant core strength and hip flexibility; often preceded by preparatory poses like crow pose or hip openers. Known by its Sanskrit name, the pose is associated with the firefly’s lightness and agility.
