Description
Hero Pose (Virasana & Vajrasana is a kneeling posture that provides a gentle stretch to the quadriceps, knees, and ankles as the practitioner sits back on the heels. The pose encourages internal rotation of the thighs and lengthening of the front of the thighs and shins, while the core and lower back engage lightly to keep the spine lifted and prevent collapsing into the lower back. Both variations with the knees together(Virasana) and the knees out wide (Vajrasana) A seated kneeling posture where the practitioner sits between the heels with the knees bent and legs folded beneath the body. Known as vajrasana or virasana in Sanskrit, it is associated with stability and grounding in practice.
